Cumbria Crystal offers a full engraving service to both trade and private customers.
Our engraver, Neil Yates, is based full time at the factory and has been engraving for over 25 years using a method unique to him. Prior to joining Cumbria Crystal Neil ran his own glass retailing and engraving shop, North Country Crystal in Kendal.

We can offer a wide range of engraving services from multiple reproductions of logos for Corporate clients using stencils and sandblasting to one-off sets of initials for visitors to the factory done “while you wait”. For special commissions of coats-of-arms, reproductions of photographs, landscapes, etc Neil uses a technique which uses varying depths of engraving, shading and different tonal qualities to achieve a realistic three-dimensional effect.

We generally recommend the use of Cumbria Crystal for engraving purposes because of its’ superior quality but can source cheaper crystal if there is a need to work to a very tight budget. Neil’s recent commissions have also included work on plate glass, ordinary soda glass and customers own glassware |
